Crispy Chili Beef with Broccoli

This Thai main dish is very easy to prepare yet so delicious and appetizing. If you’re running out of time to cook something tasty and satisfying for your family this would be perfect for you as it will be done in less than 20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 300 g sirloin steaks (sliced, tossed with corn flour)
  • sliced florets of brocolli
  • 2 cloves garlic (sliced)
  • 5cm piece ginger (chopped)
  • 1 tablespoon chili flakes (dried)
  • ½ bunch spring onion (sliced)
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 5 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 pieces lime (juiced)

Method

Step 1

Heat the wok with 5cm depth of oil in it until very hot.

Step 2

Fry the steak in batches until dark and crisp, then drain.

Step 3

Take out most of the oil. Add broccoli, garlic, ginger and chili. Fry them stirring continuously for a minute.

Step 4

Pour in the soy sauce sweetened with sugar and lime juice and cook for 2 minutes.

Step 5

Toss in beef and spring onions and serve.
